We invite you to participate in a short survey aimed at identifying and understanding the experiences, challenges, barriers, and needs surrounding suicide prevention efforts within the criminal justice system from a prosecutor’s point of view.
Your input will help us assess current prevention strategies, identify gaps, and improve practices and resources across both the justice and healthcare sectors.
Why Your Input Matters
Suicide prevention remains a pressing challenge within the criminal justice system. Research shows that the risk of suicide or suicide attempts are five times higher among individuals with substance use disorders and criminal justice involvement than the general public. Understanding the barriers, challenges, and needs surrounding suicide prevention efforts is crucial for developing effective policies, training, resources, and support systems.
Who Should Participate?
This survey is designed for individuals across multiple sectors who interact with or are impacted by suicide prevention and substance use disorders within the criminal legal system, including prosecutors, judges, law enforcement, healthcare providers, patients/caregivers, and peer recovery coaches.
How to Participate
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 15-25 minutes to complete. Your participation will contribute to a deeper understanding of these critical challenges and help inform future strategies for effective resources and interventions.
