NIDA Calls for Volunteers for an Opioid-Use Disorder Clinical Trial

You may be eligible for a research study.


The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is looking for volunteers between the ages of 18-65 who are dependent on opioids to participate in a research study focusing on how opiate-use disorder affects dopamine signaling in the brain.


Layout of the study:

  • Participants will attend one screening day.

  • Participants will be required to attend up to three days for tests and procedures.

  • Participants will receive PET and MRI scans.

  • While inside scanners, participants will do tasks and take tests of memory, attention, and thinking.

  • Participants must wear an activity monitor for one week.
