Understanding Overdose Risk and Medication Efficacy
County executives play a critical role in reducing overdose deaths and promoting evidence-based practices to treat people with substance use disorders (SUD) in their communities. This course provides an introduction to treatment and medications to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). Participants will also hear from patients about their experiences with treatment and how medications played a significant role in their recovery.
This JCOIN course developed by County Executives of America and Addiction Policy Forum, and will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Certificates of participation are provided upon completion of the course.
