Lauren Chambers is a Senior Community Health Partnership Coordinator with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s Population Health Department. She is a devoted community advocate working to increase support, access, and best practices across the continuum of care for substance use disorders. Lauren is a member of one of the over 100 sites participating in our Anti-Stigma Initiative.
Reflecting on her role as an instructor, Lauren expresses, “I am able to equip my community members with the knowledge and skills to help others.” She emphasizes, “When we have more information and understanding of these challenges, we can use our tools and skills learned to really make a difference in another person’s life by how we treat and care for them without judgment or stigma.” Drawing from her certifications as a trainer for Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid, NAMI’s Connect Suicide Prevention, Botvin LifeSkills Training, Lauren says she “enjoys bringing these trainings to the community and taking small steps towards changing attitudes, behaviors, and culture.”
