A Community Health Advisor for RecoveryOhio and a certified Trauma Responsive Care Coordinator, Carol Baden is one of APF’s inaugural trainers based out of Ohio. Her role with Governor Mike DeWine’s office is focused on supporting services for those in recovery and their families and working with law enforcement to provide resources to fight illicit drugs at the source. Carol has played an important role in supporting Ohio’s enCompass training pilot and has conducted over twenty enCompass training sessions since becoming a certified instructor.
Of the work she does, she holds the belief that each person possesses a distinct purpose and that to achieve well-being, one must actively work towards realizing that purpose. She actively supports this belief as a member of the core team for Stepping up Ohio and by serving on the HEALing Communities Study. Her efforts to educate Ohioans go beyond enCompass and Responding to Addiction and we are thankful to Carol for her collaboration and all that she does.
